The number of registered cases of coronavirus infection in Armenia over the past day increased by 259 and reached 38,196, five more people have died, according to the website of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
On Wednesday, the republic’s authorities reported 37,937 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection and 723 deaths. As part of the fight against COVID-19, the country declared a state of emergency from March 16 to August 12.

“38 196 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Armenia. 28 366 patients have been cured. 728 people have died,” the center said. It is noted that 8877 patients are being treated, 161,754 tests were carried out.

On March 11, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 16.5 million cases of infection have already been identified in the world, over 656 thousand people have died.
